My Educational Philosophy

I believe in recognizing students as people, not just numbers in a classroom. Every day, each student goes home from school, and experiences a completely different world than what I see in the classroom, whether that be positive or negative. 

All they want is to be noticed, cherished, and loved. They want to know that I have their best interests at heart. I want students to feel safe in my classroom, but also, I want them to have fun! Learning should be fun. 

I have a professor who greets every student with the same phrase every time he sees them, "It's a beautiful day!" Because in the classroom, it should always be a beautiful day, every day.
